October, 2022.- Gonzalo Navarro, associate researcher at the Millennium Institute Foundational Research on Data and Professor at the Computer Department of the Universidad de Chile, has been invited to be part of the editorial committee of ACM Transactions on Algorithms (TALG), one of the most important scientific journal on algorithms at the international level.
TALG publishes original research of the highest quality on algorithms, data structures, and related mathematics. The journal also includes editorial opinions and a section dedicated to challenging problems. “My incorporation seeks to expand the area of the journal to reach the empirical aspect of algorithm design and analysis, an area currently underrepresented and extremely important for the transfer of this research to the real world,” Navarro highlights.
The magazine is part of the publications of the ACM, the Association for Computing Machinery, the world’s largest computing society, which brings together computing professionals from education, research, and professionals to share resources, and face challenges of the area.
