July 2022.- The sixth IMFD Research Seminar featured Felipe Bravo, a young IMFD researcher and academic from the Department of Computer Science at the University of Chile, who presented the research “Tackling Fairness: Change and Polysemy in Word Embeddings” . The main topic was the change of words through Natural Language Processing (NLP for its acronym in English).
The main objective of the research presented is to have systems that are better generalized by vectors, that is, words are characterized by the company they have and also words that occur in similar contexts, so they should have the same meanings.
During the event there was a great participation by the audience, both virtual and in person, with doubts and queries that encourage the exchange of knowledge and the interdisciplinary work of the IMFD.
