December, 2024.- Magdalena Saldaña, academic of the Faculty of Communications PUC and IMFD researcher, has been distinguished with a prestigious award granted by the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Vienna in Austria: the “Paul Lazarsfeld Professorship”.
This award is given to outstanding scholars with an innovative profile in the fields of theory and methodology in the empirical social sciences. This award includes an invitation to Vienna to teach a short doctoral course and to offer a master class for faculty academics in the second semester of 2025.
“The researchers who have obtained this recognition in previous years are people that I admire very much, such as Daniela Dimitrova, Stuart Soroka, Pablo Barberá, etc. Therefore, this award is a very important recognition for me, but also for our faculty because it indicates that the most important universities in the world are looking at the work we do from Chile”, says the Director of Research and Creation of the Faculty.
