The Faculty of Education and Ediciones UAH invite you to the presentation of the book “Mujeres científicas en Chile”.
The book gathers the biography of seven women researchers: Lorena Lobos (Biochemistry), Brigitte Van Zundert (Molecular Biologist), Francisca Blanco (Phytopathologist), Paula Celis (Marine Biologist), Jocelyn Dunstan (Physics), Natalia Inostroza (Astrochemistry) and Teresa Paneque (Astronomer) review their paths, school experiences, academic training, hobbies and life projects, glimpsing where their scientific vocation and research interests were born, but also how, despite the difficulties, they have faced the challenges and become outstanding experts in their areas of knowledge, thus questioning the traditional gender roles.
