Renzo Angles

Director of the Department of Computer Science at Universidad de Talca. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering from Universidad Católica de Santa María (Arequipa, Peru), and his Ph.D. in Science, majoring in Computer Science, from Universidad de Chile. During 2013, he did a postdoctoral fellowship at VU University Amsterdam, and took part in the European project “Linked Data Benchmark Council (LDBC).” His research work lies at the intersection of graph-oriented databases and the semantic web. His current specialties are the theory and design of query languages for graphs, and protein data analysis.
