This research line brings together specialists in computer science, statistics, and social sciences to study complex social phenomena through advanced data analysis techniques. The main focus is to develop innovative diagnostic tools that integrate multiple variables and disciplinary perspectives.

The methodology is based on a mixed approach, combining qualitative methods (such as ethnographic work and interviews) with quantitative ones (such as statistical modeling and machine learning). Special emphasis is placed on triangulating massive data with tools from the social sciences, as well as on integrating data from different spatial units of analysis.

The leaders of this research line are Juan Pablo Luna, from the School of Government at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and Sergio Toro Maureira, director of the School of Government at Universidad Mayor.
