Andrés Carvallo

PhD in Engineering, with a specialization in Computer Science from the Pontificia Universidad Católica. His areas of interest are information retrieval, text mining, recommendation systems, and the development of machine learning algorithms with visual explanations. His thesis project relates to the automatic and explainable review of medical papers to improve efficiency in evidence-based medicine. He is currently part of the IALab and SocVis research laboratories.
