Bryan Castillo

A graduate in Geography from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile (2018), he joined the IMFD as a technical assistant that same year, working on Project 3, Data for the study of multivariate social problems, alongside Juan Luna and Sergio Toro.

His work experience is based in academia as a technical and research assistant on various projects, including Fondecyts. He worked (2019-2021) as a research assistant for the Center for Sustainable Urban Development (CEDEUS), where he published several articles with Giovanni Vecchio and Stefan Steiniger on urban mobility issues. Finally, in addition to the IMFD, he participated alongside Juan Luna in international projects such as C2M2 (Cities Covid Mitigation Mapping) of the US Department of State. His personal interests are based on the visual arts and sciences. In the latter area, he has dedicated himself to learning how to use computational tools, which enable him to work with quantitative methods.
