Bryan Castillo

A graduate of the Geography program at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (2018), he joined IMFD as a technical assistant that same year on Project 3, Data for the Study of Multivariable Social Problems, alongside Juan Pablo Luna and Sergio Toro.

His professional experience is based in academia, working as a technical and research assistant on various projects, including Fondecyt grants. He worked (2019-2021) as a research assistant for the Centro de Desarrollo Urbano Sustentable (CEDEUS), where he achieved several publications with Giovanni Vecchio and Stefan Steiniger on urban mobility topics. Finally, in addition to IMFD, he participated alongside Juan Pablo Luna in international projects such as C2M2 (Cities Covid Mitigation Mapping) with the United States Department of State. His personal interests lie in the visual arts and the sciences; in the latter area, he has focused on learning to use computational tools that allow him to work with quantitative methods.
