Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and the Department of Transportation and Logistics Engineering, Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. PhD in Computer Science from the Pontifical Catholic University. His areas of interest are research in visual recognition (object and scene recognition, semantic segmentation), machine learning (deep learning, structured learning), optimization (large-scale problems and regularization), intelligent transportation systems, Big Data (smart cities, platforms such as Hadoop or Spark).
