José Fuentes

Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Engineering and Computer Science of the Universidad de Concepción, and Young Researcher at the Millennium Institute Foundational Research on Data (IMFD). He obtained his PhD in Computer Science in 2016 from the Universidad de Concepción. Between 2016 and 2019 he completed a postdoctoral stay at the Universidad de Chile, under the supervision of academic Gonzalo Navarro, as well as several research stays in Finland and Spain. His areas of interest include compact data structures, text compression, and parallel algorithms.
