José Fuentes

Assistant professor in the Department of Computer Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Concepción, and Young Researcher at Millennium Institute Foundational Research on Data. He obtained his PhD in Computer Science in 2016 from the University of Concepción. Between 2016 and 2019, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Chile under the supervision of Professor Gonzalo Navarro, in addition to various research stays in Finland and Spain. His areas of interest include compact data structures, text compression, and parallel algorithms.
