Pablo Badilla

Master's degree in Computer Science from the DCC at the University of Chile. His area of expertise is Machine Learning, with a particular focus on Natural Language Processing (NLP). He developed his thesis "WEFE: The Word Embeddings Fairness Evaluation Framework" on the study of algorithmic biases in models widely used to solve language-related problems: Word Embeddings. For this work, an article was published at the IJCAI conference, as well as an open-source library (https://wefe.readthedocs.io/en/latest/) that replicates the previous study. It is still active, with constant implementation of new features as well as new users.

He is currently teaching a course in the Master's Degree in Data Science at the University of Chile (MDS) and working in the Technology Department of the National Center for Artificial Intelligence (CENIA), led by Professor Álvaro Soto.
