Sebastián Ferrada – Millennium Institute Foundational Research on Data

Assistant professor at the University of Chile's Data and Artificial Intelligence Initiative and junior researcher at Millennium Institute Foundational Research on Data IMFD). He received his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Chile in 2021 and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Linköping University in Sweden. His research focuses on knowledge graphs and includes their construction, modeling, and generation; their management, querying, and interoperability; and their applications in the field of artificial intelligence and data science. His interests also include applications of databases, graphs, and artificial intelligence in other domains such as internet networks, social phenomena, and astronomy. He received the Best Resources Track Student Paper Award at ISWC 2017 and the Best Paper Award at CoopIS 2023.
