Sebastián Ferrada – Millennium Institute Foundational Research on Data

Assistant Professor at the Data and Artificial Intelligence Initiative of the Universidad de Chile and Young Researcher at the Millennium Institute Foundational Research on Data (IMFD). He received his PhD in Computer Science from the Universidad de Chile in 2021 and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Linköping University in Sweden. His research focuses on knowledge graphs, including their construction, modeling, and generation; their management, querying, and interoperability; and their applications in the fields of artificial intelligence and data science. His interests also include applications of databases, graphs, and artificial intelligence in other domains such as internet networks, social phenomena, and astronomy. He has received the Best Resources Track Student Paper Award at ISWC 2017 and the Best Paper Award at CoopIS 2023.
