Sebastián Valenzuela

Associate Professor in the Faculty of Communications at the Pontifical Catholic University, PhD in Communication from the University of Texas at Austin, United States (2011). He has been a research associate at the Center for Integrated Disaster Risk Management Research (CIGIDEN) and a visiting professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, United States. His research focuses on public opinion, political communication, digital social networks, and journalism, topics on which he has written in more than 60 academic publications. His work has been recognized by international associations, including ICA, AEJMC, and WAPOR. He is currently editor-in-chief of Cuadernos.info, the leading Latin American communications journal, and director of Research and Creation at the Faculty of Communications of the Pontifical Catholic University.
