AI and content classification: the challenge that the Judiciary and IMFD are working on

A team of IMFD researchers and students is working with documentation and database specialists from the Judiciary to establish an intelligent search system for judicial rulings.

IMFD and DCC UC research team takes first place in international medical imaging competition

The IALab / HAIvis UC team, made up of DCC UC academics and IMFD researchers Hans Lobel and Denis Parra, together with undergraduate and graduate students from DCC UC, took first place in the international Medical ImageCLEF competition, in the Image Captioning – Caption Prediction category, organized by ImageCLEF.

Test KOR is awarded at the 2021 UC Technology Transfer and Intellectual Property Day

In recognition of the development of science, technology, and innovation, in the Covid-19 Technology category, Test KOR was awarded by the UC Technology Transfer and Development Office in a virtual ceremony led by the rector of Universidad Católica, Ignacio Sánchez, and the vice president for Research, Pedro Bouchon, as part of the 2021 UC Technology Transfer and Intellectual Property Day.

An election is not won with Facebook alone

IMFD researchers analyzed the 2017 electoral campaigns on social platforms. They found that these are an extension of the traditional ways of mobilizing voters in Chile, which are determined mainly by the socioeconomic level of the district where the campaign takes place.
