Workshop “Know Your Data: An Essential Step for AI”

Before adopting artificial intelligence tools, every organization faces a question that is rarely answered: do we really know the state of our data? The Millennium Institute for Foundational Research on Data (IMFD) invites you to a free, in-person theoretical-practical workshop —with a final hybrid session—, aimed at diagnosing, organizing, and beginning to transform institutional data into a strategic asset for decision-making.

The workshop proposes that each participant understand the state of their data and build an initial roadmap to prepare it for future AI-based projects.

The same workshop will be held in four sessions, free of charge:

What will we do in each session?

The session begins with a self-assessment that allows participants to evaluate the current state of their organization’s data, identify strengths and gaps, and recognize how prepared they are to move toward AI-based solutions.

It then combines theoretical content with practical exercises focused on data quality, organization, and integrity, essential elements for generating reliable and useful information for decision-making.

At the end, each participant will take home a document developed during the workshop that will allow them to organize the state of their data, identify opportunities for improvement, and outline an initial roadmap for incorporating AI tools according to their institution’s needs and context. The methodology places participants’ experience at the center, encouraging them to share learnings and reflect based on real cases developed by the IMFD.
