Second IMFD – ODEGI Book Club: Invisible Women, by Caroline Criado Pérez

April, 2024.- The data gap between men and women is the main topic of Invisible Women, the book by Caroline Criado Pérez that will be discussed in the second IMFD Book Club – ODEGI, which will be held online and will feature three sessions starting on Thursday, May 16.

At each session, three chapters of the book will be discussed, in a conversation moderated by Jocelyn Dunstan Escudero, a professor of Computer Science and of IMC UC, together with Daniela Moyano, a professor of Design UC and co-founder of ODEGI.

Just as a wage gap exists, the book exposes the existence of a data gap: information marked by a male bias, used to define health parameters, design mass-consumption products, or approve drugs, among many other actions that impact women’s quality of life.
