Gonzalo Navarro is a member of the editorial board of ACM Transactions on Algorithms

**October, 2022.-** IMFD Researcher and DCC U. Chile academic Gonzalo Navarro will join the editorial board of ACM Transactions on Algorithms (TALG), considered the most important scientific journal on algorithms internationally.

TALG publishes original, high-quality research on algorithms, data structures, and related mathematics. The journal also includes columns and a problems section. “My appointment seeks to expand the journal’s scope to the empirical aspect of algorithm design and analysis, an area that is currently underrepresented and extremely important for transferring this research to the real world,” Navarro highlights.

The journal is part of the publications of ACM, the Association for Computing Machinery, the world’s largest computing society, which brings together computing professionals from education, research, and industry to foster dialogue, share resources, and address the field’s challenges.
