VIII Research Seminar: Data Streams – Millennium Institute Foundational Research on Data

October 2022.- With wide attendance both online and in person, a new Research Seminar was held on the 4th floor of the UC Innovation building, an activity coordinated by the IMFD’s Academic Direction, which aims to promote interdisciplinary studies and share experiences among the Institute’s various teams.

This time the presentation was given by Cristián Riveros, faculty member of the UC Department of Computer Science and IMFD Researcher, with the research “Data streams: their challenges and some solutions.”

The academic spoke about the problem of data and systems designed to solve it, rethinking data management systems so that the user can obtain timely information while, at the same time, the system does not stall due to an excess of it.

Professors, researchers, and students created an opportunity to ask questions and add further information. This generated a space for interdisciplinarity, one of the main goals sought in every IMFD Research Seminar.
