7th Foundations of Data School

As part of the Jornadas Chilenas de Computación, we invite you to take part in the 7th Foundational Data School.

This time you will have the opportunity to participate in the tutorial: How to build a search engine using artificial intelligence techniques, in which they will review a modern technology stack that allows building applications using these technologies. Then, they will go over an architecture that makes it possible to deploy our search engine for a large number of users. They will also provide some pointers on how to measure and mitigate biases when using these techniques:

– Embedding techniques that allow us to represent text in a mathematical way.

– Storing these embeddings in vector databases.

– Using modern techniques to perform searches with these vectors.

The complete tutorial is designed for three one-hour blocks:

Block 1. How to build and scale a smart search engine.

Block 2. Hands-on coding: building a simple application that uses modern artificial intelligence techniques.

Block 3. Working with biases in projects that use modern artificial intelligence techniques.
