Susana Eyheramendy

Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Universidad de Chile and in Statistics from Universidad Católica de Chile. She obtained her PhD in Statistics from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, USA (2004). She carried out postdoctoral studies in the Mathematical Genetics group of the Department of Statistics at the University of Oxford, UK, where she worked for the International HapMap Project. She also conducted postdoctoral studies at the University of Munich (LMU, 2006) and at the Helmholtz Zentrum München, where she took part in research in the field of genome-wide association studies (GWAS) in genetic epidemiology. She is currently an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Engineering and Sciences of Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez and an IMFD researcher.

Benjamín Ballester Riesco

Archaeologist and writer. PhD in Archéologie, Ethnologie et Préhistoire (2023), Master 2 in Archéologie de la Préhistoire et de la Protohistoire (2017), both from the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne in France, and holds a degree from Universidad de Chile (2013). He has been responsible for and co-researcher on various scientific and cultural projects funded by national and international institutions, in addition to serving as editor and member of the Editorial Committee of various academic journals. His research focuses on the cultural phenomenon of collecting, the biography of pre-Columbian objects, the social history of museums, the anthropology of techniques, and the archaeology of coastal societies. He currently serves as Editor of the Bulletin of the Chilean Museum of Pre-Columbian Art and is a researcher at Universidad de Tarapacá and at UMR 8068 Technologie et Ethnologie des Mondes Préhistoriques (TEMPS) of the CNRS in France.
