Outstanding participation of IMFD academics and students at ICDT 2023

The International Conference on Extending Database Technology (ICDT) is the most important conference in the field of databases, bringing together researchers, developers, industry professionals, and users to learn about new ideas, techniques, and tools, and to exchange experiences.

Gonzalo Navarro, an academic from the Department of Computer Science at the University of Chile and IMFD researcher, will participate as a guest speaker at the 26th edition of the ICDT, which will be held from March 28 to 31, 2023, in a hybrid format in Greece. Also presenting at the conference are IMFD students Jorge Salas and Martín Muñoz, from the Master's in Computing program at the Catholic University, and former IMFD student Tamara Cucumides, from the Institute of Mathematical and Computational Engineering at the Catholic University.

ICDT is a prestigious international conference on research into the fundamentals and theory of data management. Previous ICDT events were held in Rome, Bruges, Paris, Berlin, Prague, Delphi, Jerusalem, London, Siena, Edinburgh, Barcelona, St. Petersburg, Lausanne, Uppsala, Berlin, Genoa, Athens, Brussels, Bordeaux, Venice, Vienna, Lisbon, Copenhagen (virtual), Nicosia (virtual), and Edinburgh (virtual). Since 2009, ICDT has been held annually and in conjunction with EDBT, following the successful SIGMOD/PODS model.
