Magdalena Saldaña participates in international conferences in Asia
In Singapore, IMFD researcher Magdalena Saldaña, an academic at the Catholic University's Faculty of Communications and currently on sabbatical, was invited by Professor Shangyuan Wu of the National University of Singapore (NUS). At this university, she taught the classes "Latin American Journalism and Public Interest" for Professor Wu's master's course "Digital Journalism, Law, and Society" and "Mis/Disinformation in Latin America" for Professor Carol Soon's UNDERGRADUATE course UNDERGRADUATE News in the Public Sphere ."

In addition, Saldaña gave a talk entitled "Traditional news media and misinformation: Lessons learned from the Constitutional Process in Chile" at Nanyang Technological University, at the invitation of Professor Edson Tandoc.
Regarding her visit to Singapore and the opportunity to showcase her work at the two aforementioned universities, researcher Saldaña explains: "I am very proud to have the opportunity to present my work at such important universities in Asia. I see it as a tremendous opportunity to share the work we do at UC and in Chile, in collaboration with colleagues from different Chilean universities, including Chile, Los Andes, and Usach. So, having the opportunity to show there what we do here is very important to me, and I feel very grateful and proud, because in a way, you are an ambassador for the place you represent. Many professors were involved in the papers I presented, and I am very grateful for the opportunity to go there and for people to be interested in what we have to say."
