ACM recognizes Gonzalo Navarro as part of Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations
As part of Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations, the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) recognized Gonzalo Navarro, an academic in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Chile and a researcher at Millennium Institute Foundational Research on Data IMFD).
This month, the Association for Computing Machinery recognized Marcelo Arenas, a DCC-IMC UC academic and IMFD researcher, making Navarro the second IMFD researcher to receive this honor. The ACM is the most prestigious association in the field of computing and information technology worldwide. It brings together educators, researchers, and professionals to inspire dialogue, share resources, and address challenges in this field.
Gonzalo Navarro is an ACM Fellow, and ACM highlights his contributions in areas such as compact data structures, web search, graph databases and metrics, and information retrieval.
