Domagoj Vrgoč

Assistant Professor at the Institute of Mathematical and Computational Engineering at the Pontifical Catholic University. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom. His areas of interest include databases, the Semantic Web, and computational theory. His doctoral dissertation was recognized by the British Computing Society as one of the best of his generation. He has served on the program committees of renowned international conferences, including AAAI, ESWC, ICDT, IJCAI, ISWC, PODS, and WWW, among others. He was recently awarded the 2026 Alonzo Church Prize, along with other researchers from the IMFD.
