Successful V School of Foundational Research on Data

November, 2022. Within the framework of the Jornadas Chilenas de Computación, the Millennium Institute Foundational Research on Data held the V School of Foundational Research on Data in face-to-face format, with more than 40 participants in a full day. This meeting seeks to bring data research techniques, from different areas of work, to students, academics and people interested in the subject in general.

IMFD researchers Claudio Gutiérrez, Aidan Hogan and Matías Toro, academics from the Dept. of Computer Science at the University of Chile (DCC UChile); together with Ignacio Meza, DCC UChile, and Pablo Badilla (CENIA), gave a series of talks and practical workshops during the day, which lasted from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm . Ignacio Meza, DCC UChile, and Pablo Badilla(CENIA), gave a series of lectures and practical workshops during the day, which lasted from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.

The Chilean Computing Conference (JCC2022) brings together the most important names in computer science and informatics at the national level, and is recognized by the two most important scientific societies in the world in their field, such as the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and IEEE. This year they were held at the Universidad San Sebastián, in its Bellavista campus (Santiago).
